Silhouette Mosque

Couldn't find any vantage point to shoot this Mosque in its full splendor. Fading light came to my rescue. A dash of color in the sky could have worked wonders.. but the evening light wasn't flattering enough. "Light" is the single most important element which can make or mar a pic . We are truly at the mercy of the "elements".

this one reminds me of a very similar pic I had shot sometime back...in Agra....of the two mosques that surround Taj...

somehow I'm always awed when I see mosques.....don't know why...nice pic...

Setting sun.. a mosque.. and the reverberations of "Azaan" in the distant background.. Purrrrrfect recipe for tranquility.

I'm no expert - all i can say is whether I liked looking at a pic or not- and I liked looking at "the silhoutte mosque" and "this way up"- the former becos, it has such a serene look abt it, and the latter becos the contrast of the blue sky against the green building bordered with brown - well looks pleasing- and that window - kinda gives the feeling of a kind of abyss- a sense of falling depth-
